Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Peripheral blood stem cell graft CD34+ selected is a cell therapy product consisting of enriched CD34+ hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) harvested from mobilized peripheral blood. The selection process, typically performed using immunomagnetic devices like the CliniMACS system (Miltenyi Biotec), aims to provide a purified population of stem cells for hematopoietic reconstitution while depleting T cells to reduce the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) in allogeneic transplantation or removing malignant cells in autologous settings. This approach is utilized in the treatment of various hematologic malignancies, including acute leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, and multiple myeloma, as well as genetic blood disorders like sickle cell disease and thalassemia.
