This personalized neoantigen tumor vaccine is an investigational biological therapy developed by Yongchang Zhang at Hunan Cancer Hospital. It is specifically designed as an adjuvant treatment for patients with stage IIIA lung adenocarcinoma who have undergone radical surgery. The vaccine is manufactured using patient-specific neoantigens—unique peptide sequences identified through genomic sequencing of the individual's tumor. These neoantigens are intended to prime and activate the patient's immune system, particularly T-cells, to recognize and destroy any remaining micrometastatic or residual cancer cells. Administered subcutaneously, the vaccine follows an initial intensive dosing schedule followed by long-term maintenance to prevent disease recurrence. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase I/II clinical trial (NCT03807102).
