Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PFL-002 + VERT-002 is a combination monoclonal antibody therapy developed for the treatment of solid tumors with MET alterations, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The drug acts as a degrader of c-MET (hepatocyte growth factor receptor), which is a known oncogenic driver in subsets of NSCLC and other solid tumors. This mechanism is differentiated from traditional MET inhibitors by promoting degradation rather than simple inhibition. The agent has shown preclinical promise as a best-in-class option for patients with MET mutations or amplification—including those who have developed resistance to other targeted therapies. Originally developed by Vertical Bio and now under Pierre Fabre Laboratories following acquisition, the drug entered first-in-human phase 1/2 clinical trials in late 2024[1][2][3][5].
