Overview
Phenotypeca VHH antibody (atopic dermatitis) is a single-domain antibody (VHH) therapeutic candidate being developed for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. The antibody is produced using Phenotypeca's proprietary *Saccharomyces cerevisiae* (yeast) expression platform, which is engineered to enable high-yield, low-cost production of complex biologics. VHH antibodies, often referred to as nanobodies, are derived from the variable regions of heavy-chain-only antibodies found in camelids. They offer several pharmacological advantages over traditional monoclonal antibodies, including a smaller molecular size (approximately 15 kDa), enhanced stability, and the ability to bind to recessed or hidden epitopes.
