Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Phenoxodiol + cisplatin is a combination therapy comprised of the novel isoflavene analog **phenoxodiol** and the platinum-based chemotherapeutic **cisplatin**. Phenoxodiol functions as a biomodulator that targets pro-survival signaling pathways in tumor cells, including inhibition of pro-survival proteins such as XIAP, and sensitizes cancer cells to apoptosis. When used together, phenoxodiol has demonstrated the ability to restore or enhance tumor cell sensitivity to cisplatin, particularly in cancers resistant to platinum-based therapy such as ovarian cancer. The combination has shown synergistic or additive activity in preclinical and clinical studies, with evidence supporting its safety and potential efficacy in platinum-resistant or refractory cancers[1][3][4].
