Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LT-02 is a novel, highly purified, oral controlled-release formulation of phosphatidylcholine specifically designed to treat ulcerative colitis by improving the barrier function of the mucosal layer of the colon. It is intended for patients with mild to moderate ulcerative colitis who have an inadequate response to mesalamine. The drug aims to augment the natural protective mucosal barrier in the lower gut and targets pathological changes in gut barrier function thought to underlie ulcerative colitis[4][5][6].
