PHY906 + capecitabine

PHY906 + capecitabine is a combination therapy consisting of capecitabine, an oral prodrug of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) and a widely used chemotherapeutic agent, and PHY906, a standardized pharmaceutical-grade formulation derived from four traditional Chinese medicinal herbs. Capecitabine acts as an antimetabolite that inhibits DNA synthesis in rapidly dividing cancer cells. PHY906 is designed to enhance the therapeutic index of chemotherapeutic agents by both potentiating their anti-tumor activity and reducing gastrointestinal toxicity.
