Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ping Chuan Ke Li + montelukast is a combination therapy that pairs a traditional Chinese medicine formulation (Ping Chuan Ke Li) with a conventional leukotriene receptor antagonist (montelukast). This combination has been studied for its efficacy in treating chronic asthma, with clinical trials showing improved lung function and quality of life compared to montelukast alone in some studies. Montelukast works by blocking the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 (CysLTR1), which helps reduce inflammation in the airways.
