Overview

This is a combination of two drugs, piperacillin and tiotropium bromide. Piperacillin is a broad-spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic of the ureidopenicillin class, primarily used to treat serious infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis through binding to penicillin-binding proteins. Tiotropium bromide is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) bronchodilator used in the management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma. It works by blocking M3 muscarinic receptors in airway smooth muscle, leading to bronchodilation[1][3]. There are no known approved or marketed products that combine these two agents into a single formulation; their use together would be off-label or investigational.
