Overview

A combination cell-based biologic therapy consisting of human placenta-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hP-MSCs) and hyaluronic acid (HA). The hyaluronic acid component serves as a biocompatible scaffold or carrier, enhancing cell retention and survival at the site of administration, while also potentially providing therapeutic lubrication in joint applications. The mesenchymal stem cells are believed to exert their effects through paracrine mechanisms, releasing a variety of pro-regenerative, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory factors. This combination is primarily investigated for regenerative medicine applications, including the treatment of knee osteoarthritis via intra-articular injection and endometrial injury or thin endometrium via intrauterine delivery using hydrogel formulations.
