platelet rich fibrin + Orabase

Platelet rich fibrin (PRF) combined with Orabase is a novel drug delivery system that utilizes autologous platelet concentrates mixed with Orabase (a dental paste) to create a localized treatment option. This combination has been used to manage medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw cases. PRF is a second-generation platelet concentrate sourced from the patient's own blood that contains growth factors and cytokines that promote tissue healing and regeneration. When combined with Orabase, it creates a topical application that can adhere to oral mucosa, providing sustained release of bioactive components.
