Overview

This therapy is an experimental regenerative treatment that combines autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with autologous endometrial cells, typically administered via hysteroscopic or intrauterine injection. PRP is derived from the patient's own blood and contains a high concentration of platelets, growth factors (such as VEGF, EGF, PDGF, TGF), and cytokines that stimulate tissue repair, angiogenesis, cell proliferation, and anti-inflammatory effects. The addition of autologous endometrial cells aims to further enhance regeneration by directly supplying functional cellular components to the uterine lining. This combination is being investigated for improving endometrial receptivity in patients with refractory thin endometrium or recurrent implantation failure during assisted reproductive technology (ART) cycles[6][1][3]. The mechanism involves promoting local tissue repair and regeneration through synergistic action of growth factors from PRP and direct cellular contribution from transplanted endometrial cells.
