Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pneumovax NP + Fluvic HA is a combination vaccine regimen consisting of the simultaneous administration of Pneumovax NP (a 23-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine) and Fluvic HA (a quadrivalent influenza HA vaccine). This specific co-administration protocol was the subject of a randomized, open-label study conducted by Kameda Medical Center to evaluate whether simultaneous injection of both vaccines provides non-inferior immunogenicity compared to sequential administration (two weeks apart) in elderly populations. Pneumovax NP targets 23 capsular polysaccharides of *Streptococcus pneumoniae* to prevent pneumococcal pneumonia and invasive disease, while Fluvic HA is an inactivated vaccine targeting hemagglutinin from four influenza strains (two A and two B) to prevent seasonal influenza.
