Polyethylene glycol electrolytes powder (II) is a balanced osmotic laxative formulation used for whole-bowel irrigation. It consists of polyethylene glycol 4000 combined with a specific balance of electrolytes, including sodium sulfate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, and potassium chloride. The formulation is designed to retain water in the intestinal lumen through osmotic pressure, thereby increasing stool volume and inducing peristalsis to effectively clear the gastrointestinal tract.
