pPML7789 + pPJV2012

pPML7789 + pPJV2012 is a combination of two DNA vaccines developed by PowderMed for use as a potential vaccine against pandemic influenza. Both components are delivered using Particle Mediated Epidermal Delivery (PMED), a needle-free technology that delivers DNA-coated gold particles into the skin. The combination is designed to induce an immune response capable of protecting against novel or pandemic strains of influenza. Clinical studies have evaluated its safety, tolerability at administration sites, and immunogenicity in healthy adult volunteers[2]. At least one component (pPJV2012) has also been studied as a DNA vaccine with an encoded immunostimulator and has been investigated for other indications such as herpes simplex virus infection[7].
