Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination vaccine candidate consisting of **pre-S hepatitis B surface antigen** as the immunogen and **Advax-2** as the adjuvant. The pre-S hepatitis B surface antigen is a recombinant hepatitis B surface antigen variant including the pre-S domain, designed to enhance immunogenicity beyond standard HBsAg by broadening epitope coverage and T-cell response. **Advax-2** is a proprietary vaccine adjuvant formulation composed of plant-derived delta inulin polysaccharide particles, used to augment both humoral and cellular immune responses. Advax-2 has demonstrated ability to increase cross-neutralizing antibodies and memory B cell formation in animal models and enhances both B and T cell responses in a wide variety of vaccine platforms[2][4]. The combination is primarily under development to improve immunogenicity for hepatitis B vaccination, especially in populations with reduced responsiveness to conventional vaccines.
