Overview

A combination therapy consisting of prednisone (a corticosteroid) and chloroquine (an antimalarial drug). This combination has been studied as an alternative treatment for autoimmune hepatitis (AIH), particularly for patients who are non-responders or partial responders to standard therapy, or who experience side effects from standard treatments. It has also been used in treating lupus to reduce the amount of steroid needed to control symptoms.
