The regimen consists of a baseline of prednisone and hydroxychloroquine, supplemented with the antiplatelet agent aspirin and the low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) enoxaparin. This "anticoagulation" strategy is specifically designed to improve pregnancy outcomes—such as reducing the incidence of preeclampsia, fetal loss, and premature delivery—in SLE patients, particularly those stratified by antiphospholipid antibody (aPL) status. The combination addresses the multi-organ autoimmune activity of SLE while simultaneously mitigating the prothrombotic risks associated with pregnancy and lupus-related antibodies.
