Prevnar 13 + DTaP vaccine

Prevnar 13 + DTaP vaccine refers to the co-administration of Pfizer's 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13, marketed as Prevnar 13 or Prevenar 13) and a diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis (DTaP) vaccine. This combination regimen was evaluated in a Phase 3 clinical trial (NCT01200368) in healthy Japanese infants to assess the safety and immunogenicity of simultaneous vaccination. PCV13 contains capsular polysaccharides from 13 serotypes of *Streptococcus pneumoniae* (1, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 18C, 19A, 19F, and 23F), each individually conjugated to the non-toxic diphtheria toxin mutant CRM197. The DTaP component provides protection against *Corynebacterium diphtheriae*, *Clostridium tetani*, and *Bordetella pertussis* using toxoids and acellular bacterial antigens. The trial demonstrated that co-administration is safe and maintains the immunogenic profile of both vaccines, providing broad protection against invasive pneumococcal disease and common childhood respiratory infections.
