Profhilo (hyaluronic acid)

Profhilo is an injectable skin remodeling treatment containing one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid (HA) on the market. Developed by IBSA Farmaceutici Italia, it is formulated using NAHYCO technology, which creates stabilized hybrid cooperative complexes of high-molecular-weight HA (H-HA) and low-molecular-weight HA (L-HA) through a thermal process, avoiding the use of chemical cross-linking agents like BDDE. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that provide localized volume, Profhilo acts as a bio-remodeler; it spreads through the skin tissues to hydrate the dermis and stimulate the production of four different types of collagen and elastin. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of skin laxity and improvement of skin quality in areas such as the face, neck, and hands.
