Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Propofol + cisatracurium is a combination of two separate medications used together in anesthesia protocols. Propofol is an intravenous anesthetic agent used for induction and maintenance of general anesthesia, while cisatracurium is a non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking drug that facilitates tracheal intubation and provides skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery. When used together, propofol induces unconsciousness while cisatracurium provides muscle relaxation. These medications should not be mixed in the same syringe or administered simultaneously through the same needle.
