Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Prothromplex Total** is a Takeda plasma-derived four-factor prothrombin complex concentrate developed under the investigational code **TAK-330** for urgent reversal of anticoagulation from oral direct factor Xa inhibitors. It contains human coagulation factors II, VII, IX, and X, with anticoagulant proteins including protein C. Rather than directly binding or neutralizing factor Xa inhibitors, it restores vitamin K-dependent coagulation-factor activity and thrombin-generating capacity to support surgical hemostasis. TAK-330 is being evaluated in a Phase 3 randomized trial in adults receiving apixaban, edoxaban, or rivaroxaban who require urgent surgery or an invasive procedure.
