Overview

Pumitamig + eribulin is an investigational combination therapy being developed by BioNTech and Bristol Myers Squibb for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Pumitamig (also known as BNT327, PM8002, or BMS-986545) is a bispecific antibody that simultaneously targets programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) and vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A). This dual mechanism combines immune checkpoint blockade with anti-angiogenic activity to potentially overcome resistance to standard immunotherapy. Eribulin (Halaven) is a non-taxane microtubule dynamics inhibitor that induces tumor cell death and may also promote vascular remodeling and immunogenic changes in the tumor microenvironment. The combination is currently being evaluated in the Phase 3 ROSETTA Breast-01 trial (NCT07173751) for patients with locally advanced or metastatic TNBC, particularly those with PD-L1-negative disease who are ineligible for standard PD-(L)1 immunotherapy.
