Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Pumitamig + paclitaxel** is a combination therapy comprising pumitamig (also known as BNT327 or PM8002) and paclitaxel. Pumitamig is a novel bispecific monoclonal antibody targeting both programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), designed to simultaneously modulate immune checkpoint inhibition and angiogenesis. Paclitaxel is a well-established microtubule-stabilizing chemotherapeutic agent that disrupts mitosis, leading to cell death. This combination is under investigation, primarily for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), where it is being evaluated for its potential to improve antitumor activity by integrating immunotherapy with cytotoxic chemotherapy. BioNTech SE is currently the primary developer and sponsor of this combination; Biotheus has also been referenced in China-based trials.
