Overview

PXL770 + rosuvastatin is a combination investigated specifically for drug-drug interaction and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers and in the context of metabolic diseases. PXL770 is a direct activator of 5' adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK), intended as a novel therapy for metabolic disorders such as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Rosuvastatin is an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor ("statin") used to lower cholesterol and reduce cardiovascular risk. In clinical trials, co-administration demonstrated no significant pharmacokinetic interaction, indicating the combination can be safely explored for metabolic benefits in relevant patient populations[1][2][3].
