Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Voldiamer B6 is an oral fixed-dose combination therapy developed by Tunggal Idaman Abdi for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting. It is primarily indicated for morning sickness (nausea and vomiting of pregnancy), post-surgical vomiting, and motion sickness. The formulation consists of pyrathiazine theoclate, a first-generation phenothiazine antihistamine, and pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6). Pyrathiazine theoclate acts as an antagonist at central histamine H1 receptors, inhibiting the gag reflex in the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) and stabilizing vestibular pathways. Pyridoxine hydrochloride serves as a precursor to pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (PLP), an essential cofactor that modulates neurotransmitter synthesis (such as GABA) to further alleviate emetic symptoms.
