Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pyrotinib + nab-paclitaxel is a combination therapy used primarily in the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer, including both early and advanced/metastatic settings. Pyrotinib is an oral, irreversible pan-HER tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR/HER1), HER2, and HER4, thereby blocking downstream signaling pathways involved in tumor cell proliferation and survival. Nab-paclitaxel (nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel) is a microtubule inhibitor formulated with albumin nanoparticles to improve solubility and reduce solvent-related toxicities compared to conventional paclitaxel. The combination has demonstrated promising efficacy and acceptable safety profiles in clinical trials for patients with HER2-positive breast cancer[2][3][7].
