Q-007 + Q-012

Q-007 + Q-012 (subsequently renamed QED-701 and QED-121) is a program of two preclinical-stage, orally active, small molecule spleen tyrosine kinase (SYK) inhibitors developed by Lucia Bio, a joint venture between Molecule to Medicine (MTM) and the University of Queensland's Queensland Emory Drug Discovery Initiative (QEDDI). SYK is a key mediator of immunoreceptor signaling in inflammatory cells, making it a highly validated target for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Q-007 (QED-701) is being developed primarily for neuroinflammatory disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease, due to its ability to target central neuroinflammation with high selectivity over kinases associated with hypertension and hematological toxicities. Q-012 (QED-121) is a structurally distinct chemotype being developed for peripheral autoimmune conditions, such as chronic spontaneous urticaria. Both compounds are currently in preclinical development.
