Overview

Q-1802 + capecitabine + oxaliplatin is a combination investigational therapy consisting of Q-1802, a humanized bispecific antibody that targets the tumor-specific antigen Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2) and the immune checkpoint PD-L1, together with two standard chemotherapeutic agents, capecitabine (an oral prodrug of 5-fluorouracil) and oxaliplatin (a platinum-based cytotoxic agent). Q-1802 employs immune mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) and antibody-dependent cell-mediated phagocytosis (ADCP) to kill cancer cells expressing CLDN18.2 and modulate immune responses by blocking PD-L1. The triplet combination is being studied primarily in advanced or metastatic solid tumors, especially gastrointestinal cancers, for safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy.
