QGC001 + hydrochlorothiazide is a combination of firibastat (QGC001, RB-150) and hydrochlorothiazide developed for the treatment of hypertension. **Firibastat** is a first-in-class, orally active brain aminopeptidase A inhibitor that reduces blood pressure by inhibiting the conversion of angiotensin II to angiotensin III in the brain, thus modulating the brain renin-angiotensin system and decreasing sympathetic tone and vasopressin release. **Hydrochlorothiazide** is a thiazide diuretic that lowers blood pressure primarily through inhibition of sodium reabsorption in the distal tubules of the kidney, leading to increased excretion of sodium and water.
