Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qi's Yangluan decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Professor Qi Conghua at the Shanghai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically formulated to treat poor ovarian response (POR) in women undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET). The decoction is designed based on TCM principles to tonify the kidney, nourish the blood, and regulate the Chong and Ren meridians, which are considered essential for reproductive function. Clinically, it is often administered in conjunction with acupuncture to improve oocyte quality, increase the number of retrieved eggs, and enhance clinical pregnancy rates by potentially modulating the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian (HPO) axis and improving the ovarian microenvironment.
