This combination therapy regimen is an investigational quadruplet/quintuplet approach being evaluated as a first-line treatment for extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). The regimen consists of QL1706, bevacizumab, and platinum-based chemotherapy (etoposide combined with either cisplatin or carboplatin). QL1706 is a novel bifunctional antibody product developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical using MabPair technology, which contains a mixture of iparomlimab (an anti-PD-1 IgG4 antibody) and tuvonralimab (an anti-CTLA-4 IgG1 antibody). Bevacizumab is a monoclonal antibody that targets vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) to inhibit angiogenesis. The chemotherapy component, consisting of etoposide and a platinum agent, provides cytotoxic effects by inducing DNA damage. This specific combination is being studied in a Phase II clinical trial led by investigator Zhijie Wang to assess its safety and efficacy in treatment-naïve patients.
