Drug intelligence / Profile preview
QL1706 + chemotherapy is a combination therapy that includes **QL1706**, a first-in-class bifunctional MabPair product comprised of two engineered monoclonal antibodies: one targeting **programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1)** and another targeting **cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4)**. QL1706 was specifically designed to provide dual blockade of these immune checkpoints using a unique manufacturing approach, expressing both antibodies in a predetermined ratio from the same cell line. The anti-CTLA-4 component is engineered for faster clearance, potentially decreasing immune toxicity relative to existing anti-CTLA-4 antibodies. QL1706 in combination with chemotherapy (regimens such as pemetrexed/carboplatin, paclitaxel, or others depending on the cancer type) has shown promising efficacy and a manageable safety profile in several advanced cancers including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), and is entering further clinical trials for additional indications[1][2][3][7].
