Overview

This investigational combination therapy is being evaluated for the treatment of recurrent or refractory advanced penile cancer. It consists of three primary components: QL1706 (also known as PSB205), lenvatinib, and nab-paclitaxel. QL1706 is a bifunctional antibody mixture developed by Qilu Puget Sound Biotherapeutics using proprietary MabPair technology, which allows for the production of two distinct monoclonal antibodies—iparomlimab (anti-PD-1) and tuvonralimab (anti-CTLA-4)—from a single cell line. Lenvatinib is an oral multi-kinase inhibitor that targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR1-3), fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFR1-4), and other tyrosine kinases to inhibit angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis. Nab-paclitaxel is an albumin-bound nanoparticle formulation of the cytotoxic chemotherapy agent paclitaxel, which promotes microtubule assembly and stabilizes microtubules against depolymerization, leading to cell cycle arrest. This triple combination aims to enhance anti-tumor efficacy by simultaneously engaging the immune system through dual checkpoint blockade, inhibiting tumor vascularization, and providing direct cytotoxic effects.
