Overview

QL2109 + pomalidomide + dexamethasone is a triple combination drug regimen currently being investigated in phase III clinical trials for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. QL2109 is a novel monoclonal antibody targeting CD38, pomalidomide is an oral immunomodulatory agent that enhances immune surveillance of abnormal plasma cells, and dexamethasone is a synthetic corticosteroid used for its anti-inflammatory and anti-myeloma effects. The combination aims to provide synergistic anti-myeloma activity by simultaneously targeting plasma cell survival (CD38 inhibition by QL2109), modulating immune responses (immunomodulation by pomalidomide), and suppressing proliferation and inflammation (dexamethasone). QL2109 is being developed and trialed by Qilu Pharmaceutical, with the intent to emulate or improve upon the efficacy profile of daratumumab (another anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody), giving high efficacy in difficult-to-treat, previously exposed multiple myeloma patients[5][7].
