qNIV + CoV2373

**qNIV + CoV2373** is an investigational combination respiratory vaccine developed by Novavax that combines its recombinant quadrivalent hemagglutinin nanoparticle influenza vaccine qNIV with the recombinant SARS-CoV-2 spike protein nanoparticle vaccine CoV2373, formulated with the saponin-based Matrix-M adjuvant. The product is intended to provide dual protection against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 in a single intramuscular vaccination. Mechanistically, it presents influenza hemagglutinin antigens and SARS-CoV-2 spike protein antigens to induce strain-specific humoral immune responses, including hemagglutination-inhibiting antibodies against influenza strains and anti-spike neutralizing antibodies against SARS-CoV-2. Novavax reported supportive preclinical immunogenicity and protection data and completed early clinical evaluation of the combination vaccine in older adults, but it remains an investigational vaccine candidate rather than an approved commercial product.
