Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fluquadri Adult is an adult formulation of FluQuadri, a quadrivalent inactivated split-virion influenza vaccine developed by Sanofi (specifically Sanofi Pasteur). It is administered intramuscularly to provide active immunization against influenza disease caused by two influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata) contained in the vaccine. The vaccine works by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies against the influenza virus hemagglutinin antigens, thereby providing protection against seasonal influenza. It is indicated for use in adults and children 6 months of age and older, with the adult formulation typically delivered as a 0.5 mL dose containing 15 micrograms of hemagglutinin per strain (60 micrograms total).
