Drug intelligence / Profile preview
QuinoMit Q10 fluid is a liquid coenzyme Q10 emulsion developed by MSE Pharmazeutika, containing ubiquinol as its active ingredient. Ubiquinol is the bioactive, reduced form of coenzyme Q10, which serves as a critical component of the mitochondrial electron transport chain, supporting ATP synthesis and maintaining mitochondrial membrane integrity. The formulation utilizes ultra-small droplets to significantly enhance bioavailability, achieving approximately twice the absorption of standard capsule-based ubiquinol. It is currently being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, with a focus on patients carrying mitochondrial genetic risk variants such as Parkin or PINK1 mutations. The ubiquinol used in the formulation is sourced from Kaneka and produced through a biological fermentation process without genetic engineering.
