Drug intelligence / Profile preview
R&D710 is a long-acting injectable (LAI) antipsychotic formulation being developed by Bostal Pharma for the treatment of schizophrenia. Developed via the FDA's 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway, the drug is designed as a six-month (6M) depot injection, which would represent a significant extension in dosing interval compared to many currently available monthly or bimonthly LAIs. By providing sustained therapeutic plasma concentrations over half a year, R&D710 aims to improve long-term medication adherence and reduce the risk of relapse in patients with schizophrenia. The program is currently in early-stage development, with clinical trials projected to begin in 2027.
