Drug intelligence / Profile preview
R1507 + sorafenib is an investigational combination therapy consisting of **R1507**, a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R), and **sorafenib**, an orally available small molecule multikinase inhibitor. R1507 blocks IGF-1R signaling, which is implicated in tumor growth and survival, while sorafenib inhibits multiple kinases involved in tumor cell proliferation and angiogenesis, including RAF kinases, VEGFR, and PDGFR. The combination has been evaluated for safety and preliminary antitumor activity in patients with various advanced or refractory solid tumors, particularly gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST), in early-phase clinical trials[1].
