Drug intelligence / Profile preview
R24 is a vaccine candidate currently in preclinical development by Shanghai United Cell Biotechnology, specifically designed for the prevention of *Helicobacter pylori* infection. *H. pylori* is a gram-negative bacterium that colonizes the human stomach and is a primary cause of chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, and gastric cancer. The vaccine is intended to elicit a protective immune response against the pathogen to prevent bacterial colonization and the subsequent development of associated gastrointestinal disorders. As of the current pipeline status, R24 is being evaluated in the preclinical phase to establish its safety and immunogenicity profile.
