Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RAB11 inhibitor (small molecule) refers to a class of small molecule compounds designed to inhibit the activity of RAB11, a small monomeric GTPase (specifically a Rab GTPase) that regulates key cellular processes including endocytic recycling, exocytosis, and autophagy. Developed through a collaboration between the University of Freiburg and Atomwise using the AtomNet AI platform, these inhibitors (such as Rab11-inhibitor-D5, Rab11-inhibitor-B6, and Rab11-inhibitor-D6) are being investigated for the treatment of RAB11-associated disorders, particularly nephrotic syndrome caused by TBC1D8B mutations, which lead to disinhibition of RAB11.
