Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rebedolife-DSR is a fixed-dose combination medication marketed by Citrix Life Science, primarily used in the management of acid-peptic disorders. It consists of rabeprazole sodium, a substituted benzimidazole proton pump inhibitor (PPI), and domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist. Rabeprazole suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell. Domperidone acts as a prokinetic agent by increasing lower esophageal sphincter pressure and enhancing gastric emptying, which helps alleviate symptoms of nausea and bloating often associated with acid reflux. The "DSR" suffix typically denotes a sustained-release formulation of the domperidone component to provide prolonged symptomatic relief.
