Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is an inactivated rabies vaccine utilizing the Flury strain (specifically the Low Egg Passage, or LEP, variant) developed by Liaoning Yikang Biological, a subsidiary of Jinyu Biotechnology. It is designed for veterinary use, primarily to protect dogs and cats against rabies virus infection. As an inactivated vaccine, it works by inducing the production of protective neutralizing antibodies against the rabies virus. The Flury strain is a well-established vaccine strain originally isolated from human brain tissue in 1940 and subsequently attenuated through multiple passages in chicken embryos. The vaccine is widely utilized in pet hospitals throughout China.
