RAC1 P29S A*02:01 TCR-T is an autologous T-cell receptor engineered T-cell (TCR-T) therapy developed by Anocca. It is designed to target the P29S mutation in the RAC1 protein, a known driver of progression and metastasis in various cancers, particularly melanoma. The therapy utilizes T cells engineered with a specific TCR that recognizes the RAC1 P29S mutant peptide presented on the HLA-A*02:01 molecule. This targeted approach allows the engineered T cells to selectively identify and eliminate tumor cells harboring the RAC1 P29S mutation while sparing healthy cells. The RAC1 P29S mutation is a recurrent somatic mutation that leads to constitutive activation of the RAC1 GTPase, promoting tumor cell proliferation and invasion.
