Overview

Radix Rehmanniae + Radix Astragali (NF3) is a two-herb traditional Chinese medicine formula developed by the Institute of Chinese Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. It consists of Radix Astragali (AR) and Radix Rehmanniae (RR) in a 2:1 ratio. The formula is designed to treat mild diabetic foot ulcers by promoting fibroblast proliferation, enhancing angiogenesis, and exerting anti-inflammatory effects. Preclinical studies have identified catalpol as a key marker compound from Radix Rehmanniae. It has been evaluated in randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trials for its efficacy in expediting wound healing in patients with type 2 diabetes.
