Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rapcabtagene autoleucel (PHE885) is an autologous, second-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA). Developed by Novartis, it is manufactured using the proprietary T-Charge platform, which significantly reduces the ex vivo culture time to less than two days. This rapid manufacturing process is designed to preserve T-cell stemness and potentially enhance in vivo expansion and persistence. The drug is primarily being investigated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
