Overview

Ravidasvir + sofosbuvir is an oral, fixed-dose combination of two direct-acting antiviral agents used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. Ravidasvir is a pangenotypic non-structural protein 5A (NS5A) inhibitor, while sofosbuvir is a nucleotide analog inhibitor targeting the HCV NS5B RNA-dependent RNA polymerase. This combination has demonstrated high efficacy and safety in clinical trials across multiple HCV genotypes, including difficult-to-treat genotype 3 and patients with compensated cirrhosis. Developed as an affordable regimen through South-South collaboration, it aims to expand access to effective HCV therapy in low- and middle-income countries[1][2][4][5][7].
