Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a trivalent inactivated veterinary vaccine developed by Liaoning Yikang Biological for the prevention of avian influenza in poultry. It contains three reassortant strains: H5N1 (Strain Re-11 and Strain Re-12) and H7N9 (Strain H7-Re-2). The vaccine works by inducing active immunity through the production of neutralizing antibodies against the hemagglutinin proteins of the H5 and H7 subtypes, thereby protecting chickens, ducks, and geese from highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI). It is administered via injection and is part of the mandatory vaccination programs for poultry in certain regions to control the spread of zoonotic influenza viruses.
