Overview

This is an investigational combination therapy of **rebastinib**, a potent and selective small molecule inhibitor of the TIE2 kinase (the receptor for angiopoietins), and **carboplatin**, a platinum-based alkylating chemotherapeutic agent. Rebastinib works by blocking TIE2-mediated mechanisms that contribute to tumor angiogenesis, immunosuppression, and metastatic cell transfer. Carboplatin exerts anticancer effects by forming DNA cross-links, inhibiting DNA replication and transcription, and inducing apoptosis in dividing cells. The combination is being developed primarily for the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors resistant to standard therapies, including triple-negative breast cancer, platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer, and mesothelioma. The combination is under clinical investigation and has not been approved for routine clinical use[1][3][5][7].
